"All Things Must Pass."

Well the last issue of No Depression is on the newsstand folks.  The magazine will surely be missed in its print form, but it seems like there are some clear skies ahead for the folks over there that punch the buttons and pull the levers.   Special thanks to Peter Blackstock for reviewing "IV" in the final issue.  Lets hope that for every door that closes, a new one opens.  All the best.

Whoa, a quick couple of days here. . .we landed in London and recorded a few songs for Bob Harris and BBC 2.  It will air on May 15th.  Listen Here.   Then we scooted to Leicester for our 3rd gig at The Musician.  Good to see some old and new faces there!  Yesterday drove north to Scotland to play the Paisley Arts Center which was a great time.  Today we're in Chorley and off to Newcastle tomorrow.  Sad to report that our beer intake has suffered from lack of time. . .

Played last night in one at McHugh's in Belfast.  It is one of the oldest pubs in town, founded in 1711.  Now I know that there are some Irish Pubs in the states, but they were founded in 2002 so this was a nice course in real pub.  Today was a well deserved day off.  We fly to London tomorrow to start the Jools Holland countdown!  First stop is loyal BBC 2 DJ Bob Harris' show.  Supposedly Emmylou Harris will be in the studio after us. . . .jeez, I hope we don't sweat too much.

Who could it be here in Kilkenney, Ireland?  Well its Tift Merritt and the boys.  It was good to relax with them and take in some Guinness on what we've been told was the most beautiful day of the year.

Who is celebrating Labor Day in Bergen?  Well it's none other than our dear friend Kenny Chesney.  Skoål Kenny!  Our next stop is Kilkenney.  That's right. . . Kill-Kenny.  We'll probably need to rewind real slow.

So here we are again in beautiful Bergen, Norway.  It is kind of weird to see our name ahead of Robyn Hitchcock and John Paul Jones, but then again I guess we're the Beatles over here (or at least the Rutles). . .

Here we go again!  Did I pack everything?  Mic, signpost, flag?

This is truly going to be an exciting tour.  We are visiting some places we've been and some we ain't.  So excited to finally go to Ireland!  Check the Tour page for tour dates and keep an eye here for updates.  For those of you at the shows, we have some special Europe only T-Shirts and Hatch Tour Posters so pack some extra cash.

We just got the word that we're booked on Later. . .with Jools Holland! This will be on air in the UK on May 13th live and then on the 16th in a longer form, great lineup including the Raconteurs from the US, as well as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

Cheers,

- CCL
