Well the sun has set on another tour. Thanks to all of you that made last night the best tour closer that we could ask for. The place was packed and we really felt like we were in the right place at the right time. If you didn't notice, we had a full HD camera crew working and we'll be putting together a live DVD release for sometime in 2011.

We're going into carbon-freeze for a few weeks but we'll be thawed out in mid September for a couple of weeks overseas. Time to cash in those frequent flyer miles eh?

An object at rest, will stay at rest until acted upon by an unbalanced force. Right now, CCL is back at home and at rest. This Friday, the combined forces of you & The Fletcher Opera Theatre will be what drives the band to action. Tickets are going fast and you and Newton should act quickly if you'd like to go to the show. We'll see you there.

Well a quick hop skip and jump and here we are folks. Great show last night at the State Room in Salt Lake City. We had a sunny time in Dillon by the lake and now there is only one show left out here in the wild. We'll see you tomorrow Denver!

Tickets are still available for our August 20th Homecoming show at Fletcher Theatre in Raleigh, NC. We'll see you this Friday.

Ahhh, a nap. Pickathon 10 was a stellar time. Thanks to everyone who put on such a well-organized and good-timing festival. If you have the means, I highly suggest Pickathon as a way to spend that 1st August weekend in the coming years. As festival go-ers might know all too well, we here at CCL also highly endorse Pine State Biscuits.

We'll be a Music Mellinium today at 6pm. Come on out!

Shows, shows and more shows. Thanks to Seattle for putting up with us for 3 whole shows, starting with a blaster at the Tractor, a sunshiner in Kenmore and a screaming Blue Angel at Westlake. We're resting up but will be in Bellingham tonight and Portland for the Pickathon at 2:30 pm Saturday. See you there.

Time flies when you're having fun. Killer times in L.A. last night. We had a nice early set and then let Dave Alvin [with a little help from his brother Phil] tear the roof off the Echoplex at the end of the night. We're headed up the 5 and will be rooting around the better parts of Oregon and Washington States for the next week. See you soon!

Good news. Our van showed up to pick us up from SFO on Thursday. It's amazing the things that cars can do nowadays. She picked us up just in time for a sold-out show at Hotel Utah in San Francisco. Now we're headed down the road. We're on at 5pm tonight in LA at the "Grand Ole Echo." Hard to believe that we'll be playing right before the Legendary Red Simpson. See you there.

Bad News from the Honda-Recall Dept. Our Van has recently become self-aware and has left Raleigh of its own volition. Sources say it has been seen in Cookeville, TN; Okemah, OK; and Tucumcari, NM. If anyone spots this van on I-40 or thereabouts, please send a tweet including @chathamcountyline and let us know if it is O.K.

Oh Atlanta, you were Hotlanta last night. Thanks to a sold-out crowd at Eddie's Attic. . . we apologize to you folks who couldn't get in, but something tells me you had a good time nonetheless seeing the show via closed-circuit TV by the breeze of the ceiling fans out there on the deck. We're on a brief holiday, but the tour will reconvene this Thursday in San Francisco July 29th. See you there!

Great Shows behind us and great shows ahead. We're catching some Z's right now but we'll be up bright and early to tape a session for WXPN's World Cafe with David Dye. Then we're off to Harrisburg, PA for an evening performance at Stage on Herr. We'll let you know when it is to air. There are a lot of great reviews coming in for Wildwood, but I'm having trouble posting them while I'm asleep. Maybe tomorrow. . .
