NCMA Offstage Live Report

Wow that was fun.  Thanks to everyone who tuned in and we were moderately overwhelmed by all of your donations.  We promise to keep paying those bills and make a dent in John's hairstyling debit.  If you missed the live stream, no worries you can catch it right here:  NCMA Offstage Live.

NCMA Offstage Live & N.C. Folk Festival

Hey All,

We appreciate all of the support and everyone who watched and participated in our "No Contact Concert Series" live stream.    It was great to feel a part of the live music conversation again.  If you missed the live show it will live HERE on youtube for possibly forever!  But lets not retire just yet - we have several upcoming streams in the works that we would love to share with you.  Tuesday September 1st we are a part of the North Carolina Museum of Art & UNC-TV's Virtual "Offstage Live Concert Series."  More details to come on that one.  Over the weekend of September 11-13 we will have a performance featured as part of the N.C. Folk Festival based out of Greensboro and recorded at a historic Greensboro location.  We will surely send out an email to our followers about these so be sure and sign up below!

Back On Stage this Weekend – Catch our Live Stream Saturday Night!

Howdy Friends,

Great news from the home office.  This weekend we are back together (at a safe distance) making music!  After a limited capacity socially distanced warm-up show at The Grey Eagle in Asheville Friday Night, you can catch us Saturday Night August 15th at 8pm EST rocking the world wide web.  As a part of the No Contact Concert Series we will be playing a full set of tunes and you will be able to interact with the band as our good friend Martin Anderson from WNCW is hosting the show and will ask viewer questions in between songs.  The show is donation based so you can donate during the concert via provided links to support both us and the crew and venue that host the show in Hickory, NC.

Cover Charge: A Benefit for Cat’s Cradle

There is no way to express how much the Cat's Cradle has meant to us as a band through the years.  Truly the best venue in North Carolina.  We are honored to be a part of Cover Charge, an amazing compilation of cover songs recorded by NC Musicians that is helping them out during this wacko time for independent venues and artists.  Here is a link to more about the project.  You can pre-order now and our single [a live version of Beck's "I Think I'm In Love" recorded in York, SC this January at the McCelvey Center] goes live on July 31st!

Peace Officer

Slow times at the office but the world is bustling out there.  Dave would like to share this protest song he wrote during the black lives matter protests of early June 2020 that came in the wake of a gruesome scene of senseless police brutality.  Here is the youtube link.  The band is together as one in wishing for the equality and fair treatment of all people on this earth.  We speak up so that hopefully the quiet but supportive voices for change in the world will speak up as well.  Peace.
