North Carolina Museum of Art Music at the Museum Festival

CCL is super excited to return to the NCMA's Joseph M. Bryan, Jr., Theater In The Museum Park this October!

The Music at the Museum series started during the pandemic to showcase diverse North Carolina bands that represent our state’s rich musical landscape. Recorded in the Museum galleries and presented with Come Hear North Carolina, this virtual concert series kicked off September 1, 2020, and premiered on PBS North Carolina in April 2021.

This October we welcome back five artists from the Museum’s free livestreamed and PBS–broadcasted Music at the Museum series, this time to the Park Theater stage: Chatham County Line, Rissi Palmer, Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba, Lakota John, and ¡Tumbao!

Happy New Year

2021 was a magical year for CCL.  We played some shows, made some good folks smile and dance, and embraced the love that music creates.  Y'all stay cool out there and we look forward to another wild ride in 2022.  See you soon!

What a Whirlwind

That was an amazing time and to be honest we are amazed everything went off without a hitch.  We had a great tour with the extended lineup and what a pleasure it was to play at Town Hall with Judy Collins.  Thanks to everyone for the magical times.  We're off the road for a bit but still singing in the shower and waiting to get you on your toes.  Happy Holidays!

Holiday Tour Starts this Week!

This fine week of December heralds the return of our infamous Electric Holiday Tour.  Since we have embraced drums (via Dan Hall) and electricity in our normal show we are looking at this years' edition as an Expanded CCL with our good friends Jay Brown & Johnny Irion joining the band as rock and roll sidemen.  We will play all your CCL favorites with a sprinkle of Holiday Psychedelia and a few AM Gold selections.  Less of a Mariah Carey Holiday Special, more of a Rock Show in December.  Good times guaranteed!  Links Below.

Cheers,
Dave, John & Greg.

Electric Holiday Tour 2021

We're Doing It!

The annual CCL Electric Holiday Tour has always been an excuse for the formerly acoustic stalwarts to let their hair down and play a little rock’n’roll along with the acoustic music that has made them famous across the globe.  For over a decade now the boys from CCL have taken their setlist and enlivened it with some choice AM radio gold in honor of the passing of another year.  Now that they normally perform with drums and electric & pedal steel guitars, the Holiday Tour takes on a new significance as an expanded Modern CCL lineup.  With a little help from Jay Brown (Bass) and recording artist in his own right Johnny Irion (Guitar, Piano, Vocals) they will take to stages across NC and VA and throw one heck of a party with songs from the CCL canon and some great covers to have a little fun.
