Last CCL Tour of 2019?

After a great weekend visiting the Birthplace of Country Music in Bristol and the Carolina Theatre in Greensboro, we're headed on our last tour of the year all the way to Texas.  Hope you can come be a stranger with us.  All the best.

Cheers,

CCL

Start me Up!

What a great time last weekend.  Thanks to our pal Mike Duncan for this sweet photo from Wilkesboro.  We are headed out tomorrow to Knoxville and Chattanooga.  Really excited to return to The 3 Sisters Festival in Chattanooga, they have been a friend to the band for many years and we've got a special show lined up just for them.  See y'all there.

Cheers!

D.C. to Wilkesboro this Weekend

Howdy!

We're excited to take the new show out this weekend to a couple of our favorite haunts.  Headed up The Hamilton in Washington D.C. and then to The Carolina in the Fall Festival in beautiful and hopefully chilly Wilkesboro.  {Links Above} A lot of great bands on the bill at this festival hosted by The Kruger Brothers.  Hope to see y'all out and enjoying some Fall weather!

Cheers,

CCL

eTown and Beyond

Wow. What a time we had on eTown with Nick and Helen Forster, Anders Osborne and the McIntosh County Shouters. We played a few songs and Dave had a short interview with Nick, then the show culminated in a hand-off of the song "The Last Time" that Keith Richards & Mick Jagger appropriated from The Staple Singers. Needless to say we had a chance to hand it back to its roots and it was one of those indescribable 'tingle-all-over' experiences. You can see that song by clicking here. We've got good times behind and good times ahead so as always, thanks for stopping by.

Headed to the Northeast

Excited to hit the trail this week for some banjo-rolling good times. We'll be in Gettysburg, PA for their classic "grass" fest and then way up to Vermont for the Green Mountain BG Festival, Saturday Wildflowerin' in White Mills, PA, finishing up Sunday in Rowayton, CT - a free show in an old haunt. Hope to see you cool folks out coolin'.

City of New Orleans

Headed back to Colorado for a special weekend of gigs.  We're sharing the stage with the legendary Judy Collins on Saturday & Sunday as part of Mountain Rails Live.  The Rio Grande Railroad will take a trainload of folks on a 2 hour journey into the Colorado hills where on the tip of a mountain we will do a short opening set and perhaps a small collaboration with the legendary Judy Collins.  One of the train cars is actually where Steve Goodman wrote "City of New Orleans!"  Super cool and completely wind & solar powered.  All Aboard!

Colorado Bound

Headed to one of our favorite haunts - the first state outside our own that we toured as a band - and one that always greets us with open arms.  A lot has changed since those early days but we freely admit that we can still share a tent when it comes down to it.  Excited to get back to some of our favorite familiars as well as making our second appearance at the Palisade Bluegrass & Roots Festival.  Thanks to Skillet over at Crawlspace Press for this sweet "Price is Right" Tour Poster.  Yo-de-lay-he-hoo!

CCL Amigos

That was an amazing run of shows indeed.  An honor sharing the stage with everyone, especially these Three Amigos, Steve Martin, Martin Short and Jeff Babko.  Thanks to all of the hard working folks behind the scenes that made this tour so special.  We've got a few more shows this month so don't be a stranger!

Merlefest!

Headed up to Wilkesboro for the penultimate festival in CCL Land.  Before there was a CCL, four guys used to hang around an old VW Bus in the campground down by the airfield and pick a few tunes and dream real big.  Times have changed but the dream stays the same.  A little bit may come true this week as we open the festival main stage at 3pm on Thursday, play the shady Walker Center at 2pm Friday, and then host the "Late-Night Jam" at 10pm on Saturday.  What a wonderful world!

Cheers,

CCL

Sharing the Tour Spring Break

Whew,

That was a heck of a time folks.  We covered the East Coast from Maine to Florida, drank a ton of coffee, played 19 shows, laughed at Steve & Marty so hard we almost missed our cue, sang every song we knew, slept everywhere, lay awake everywhere else, saw a ton of smiling faces, said "cheers" a lot, sold every album, hat and poster we brought, made a ton of memories and heard ourselves on the radio.  Time for a break but we'll be back at the end of April opening the main stage at Merlefest!  Hope to see you soon.

Love,

Dave, John, Chandler, Greg
